MINUS is a monomaterial lounge chair with the maximum expressiveness and the simplest gestures.
The piece, though seemingly simple in geometry, pushes the technical performance of aluminum as a material.
The MINUS chair is made of a bent 10mm aluminum sheet, without any welding, additional elements or ornament, just raw aluminum.
A repurposed car spring is used to control the swing of the seat, giving it a unique character and making it surprisingly comfortable to sit.
One may wonder what it actually is: a lounge chair, a rocking chair, a single sofa or just collectible design. But all aspects considered, MINUS is a timeless design with an iconic yet practical aesthetic that blurs the line between furniture and sculpture.
