PEINETA is a new outdoor folding chair inspired by the vernacular hair comb from Spain (18th century). The piece is a contemporary reinterpretation of a traditional symbol of the city of Valencia: 'La Peineta'.
The hair comb's transparency is referenced in the pattern of the chair, which casts unexpected shadows and moiré effects, giving a dynamic feel.
PEINETA is made of waterproof powder-coated steel in 4 different tones and is meant to be used outdoors, but would also work well indoors, adding a touch of personality to any living space.
The Chair was officially launched at New York ICFF 2023.
